(Update - the owner reached out to me directly and made things right. He also assured they have worked on the kinks. I can appreciate someone that takes the time to acknowledge reviews and make a point to reach out. I plan to come experience the new room when it comes out!)I HATE to leave a bad review. Especially a family owned business where the employees were friendly but this one just was not great.Now we went back in October 2023 so I’m not sure if they worked out the mechanical kinks. Something triggered prematurely where he had to come on the speaker to inform us. Something was broken to that fact where he had to come into the room and fix it.The atmosphere was nice and there were some very unique mechanical aspects but that’s where it ended for me.The flow was good in the beginning but when you get to the final room the flow gets a little all over the place.He even told us we escaped then come to find out we didn’t even open something we were supposed to that was the whole point of the storyline.We were not offered any kind of refund for the mechanical errors. I don’t expect a refund although I would have appreciated at the end acknowledgement that he was really sorry about the issues. there was no acknowledgement. I hope that they can work on these things and if so I would be happy to come back and try again if they open a new room.

This escape room was superb, with intricate details yet not overly complex, allowing for solvability. It struck the ideal balance between strategy and enjoyment. I highly recommend it for anyone seeking a fun experience.
What a great experience! We went in for a late afternoon game there were 6 of us girls. The game master did a great job at allowing us to really think and try to find all the clues ourselves but still giving us a helpful hint when needed. The room itself was well put together and the clues were all hidden at a perfect difficulty for us. I highly recommend giving it a try! Can’t wait till the second rooms opens.
Arcanum’s first room Mafia Mayhem was so much fun! This is a great way to spend time with family or friends in the area. Can’t wait until their next room is up and running!
I loved it! The room is designed so nicely, it was very cool! There is a timer to keep track of your progress. Hints are given if you ask! Will 100% do this again when another theme is present.Highly recommend for date night/group outing.Worth the price.

Staff were super friendly and helpful! Room filled with a LOT of clues. Good story line. Accurate on difficulty/level of room. The majority of the clues made sense. We do escape rooms frequently, and we all agree that while there were a lot of fun and challenging clues, the clues didn't really lead well from one clue to the next. 7 people was not a bad number for the room theme or difficulty, however it was too many people for the actual size of the room. We found ourselves cramped and bumping into each other alot. If booking with multiple younger players (we had an 11 and. 13 year old), this would be on the difficult side for most of them. Keep age ranges In mind when booking. If this facility adds additional game rooms, we would definitely come back! Overall it was a good time!
It was really fun. Most of it was hard for kids but the worker was very nice. I recommend to play it.

Wow! What an awesome experience! Locally owned, great location, booking online was easy, showed up and was immediately prepped for our game. It was so well thought out and very well maintained! We had a group of 5, 2 adults and 3 kids and we all felt like we were able to accomplish something. I’m so excited for them to get their next room done to be able to go again. The crew was so good about clues and nudges to make us still feel in control but able to complete the game too. Great night out!
This escape room is family owned with the most nicest and accommodating staff. By far the best escape room experience I’ve had! We came here to plan a friend’s proposal and it was executed perfectly. Definitely an unforgettable memory that this place will forever have with us. The room itself is decorated and designed very well and the puzzles are fun and engaging to solve. In our group we had first timers and experienced game room players and our game room master, Anastasia explained all the rules thoroughly and made sure that we felt safe. I definitely recommend this place for a fun escape room experience, we will sure be coming back for their other rooms!!
Fantastic spot! Locally owned and you can tell the passion they have for their business. The owners were so accommodating and nice as we had something special planned for our friends when doing the room. They even added clues to help with this task. The room itself was also very fun. The clues were challenging but not impossible! They have a new room coming in soon so we will most definitely be back to try that one out!
No words can describe how amazing this place is! I wanted to do a proposal in an escape room where I would be able to work with the game masters to make sure the moment would live up to my expectations. They did more than I would’ve expected from any other place. They went above and beyond to make sure my thoughts and ideas were heard. They would also have their own inputs and after we combined everything together, we were able to create a magical moment that many of us friends and families will never forget. I couldn’t ask for a better staff. They took great care of me, our families, our friends and never asked for anything in return.We will definitely come back for their future rooms! Every puzzle was thought provoking yet so engaging that it wasn’t annoying to solve but rather delightful. We’ve done 20 escape rooms so far but the Mafia room had so many original ideas. My friends and I were impressed and are looking forward to future rooms! Thank you for hosting my proposal and we can’t wait to be back for more!
What a GREAT and FUN experience to do with people you just met!! I really enjoyed the decor, the game rules and structure and how well everything was set up. It was definitely challenging and you really have to use your noggin! Game master Anastasia was great and very helpful! Will definitely plan on coming back when their new escape room opens up.I’ve done a handful of escape rooms and this one ranked one of my top ones. I highly recommended so make sure to try it out!!!

Our experience at Arcanum was a 20/20 because a ten just isn't enough! My husband and I have played close to 250 rooms at this point but this one?!?! Man! It ranks up in our top 10 to include technology that actually works, a game master who is on top of his job and an overall cool freaking concept. HUGE shout-out to Alex who was our game master and super PHENOMENAL ! We tried not to confuse him with how we like to play which isn't competitive or for scores, just fun and we like nudges. He was perfect - providing clues in a fast time, nudges when we definitely needed them and overall just a very humble employee who made our experience 10x better. We managed to escape, just us two, with 36 seconds left and I was sad it was over. We will definitely be back when another room opens and can't recommend this enough to anyone who wants to give an escape room a try, you won't be disappointed!
We had an amazing time in a very creative room. We are excited to see all the different themes that are to come. I would recommend this to a family or business to do at anytime.

Amazing family experience! It had just the right amount of challenges for us and our kids (ages 12-15). Our Game Master Alex was also amazing. Bonus we escaped with 6 seconds to spare. It’s truly a team effort that keeps everyone engaged.
We played the mafia room and LOVED it! The speakeasy decor added so much to the enjoyment. This is a great room for beginners or experienced eacape room enthusiasts. And Alex, the employee who helped us, was incredible!
Our family and friends had such a great time! All of us loved our time together finding the challenging clues at Mafia Mayhem game. Game Master Alex provided clear rules and instructions as well as to provide us with timely clues and great customer service. We will come back for sure to play their additonal escape room games.
After a slight miscommunication, our experience didn't initially turn out the way we wanted, but the owner was proactive, and took the initiative to reach out to us about our complaint. His understanding of the difference we had in intentions was a huge relief, and he was keen to take on criticism and improve. Definitely try this place out, as the puzzle itself was pretty great, the aesthetic was loads of fun, and with their growth mindset, I have faith that any issues that may arise will swiftly be corrected.
Such a fun experience, the room my group did Mafia Room was so unique and the puzzles were challenging but not impossible. If you really get stuck you can get a nudge or a clue to help push you in the right direction. Staff was super friendly and it was overall a great experience!
Never been to an escape room before, wow it was so much fun! Professional, family run business who you can tell really enjoy what they do and are happy to be there to make sure you have a good time. They're working on expansion so I will definitely be going back!

Mafia, their first (and currently only) room, was an absolute blast and a pretty difficult challenge for 2. The density of puzzles was high, but none of them felt unfair or overly nuanced. The room was very clean, progression in the room had nice audible feedback, and the clues by the proctor were prompt and clear.I am looking forward to their additional rooms coming in the future. ^^
Absolutely amazing experience! Anastasia and Ryan were so kind, flexible, and willing to help us with our scheduled time. They went out of their way to ensure we were assisted. The game itself was awesome. The riddles/ problems made you think a lot. We had a lot of fun trying to solve them and needed a few more clues than they initially give. Highly recommend! My wife and I went here and had the room to ourselves. We've done several escape rooms and this one ranks up there with one of the better ones we've done. The room is very nicely decorated and designed. The mafia theme was cool. The puzzles were complex enough that we needed some nudges from the game master along the way, but nothing was overly complicated or seemed impossible to figure out. Had we been in the room with other people, we may not have needed as much help. The owners were nice and very helpful. We'll definitely be going back when they get more rooms opened up. Highly recommend.
This escape room was challenging, but sooo much fun. We got extra nudges but it was a great experience. The owner is very personable and sweet. The waiting area is immaculately clean and looks so pristine. Definitely plan on going again!!☺️

This is my 5thish escape room and by far the best one I've been to! The puzzles in Mafia Mayhem were unique and super fun, and we barely got out in time (but we did!). The owners are so nice and accommodating, it's a great place for a girls night, couples date night, or work event. Can't wait to go back!
First time visiting an escape room and I’m obsessed! Arcanum really thinks of everything! The clues are so good they really get your brain thinking! The room design is amazing! So many hidden secrets. They owners are so sweet as well. You can tell they really enjoy this - and it shows in all of their blood, sweat and tears they poured into this. Can’t wait until they finish construction on their new rooms to come back for more! I’d HIGHLY recommend this escape room to everyone in the area!

Welcome, dear friends, to the seedy underbelly of the Prohibition Era. It’s a dangerous time to be alive, and the city is crawling with corrupt cops and ruthless gangsters.
But you and your team are no ordinary citizens. You are a group of intrepid reporters, hot on the trail of a cold-blooded killer.
